(A service of Project Concern International)
OPTIONS is an international recruitment and referral service offering volunteer opportunities for health and development specialists around the world.
Since 1961, Project Concern International (PCI) has worked with children and families in Asia, Latin America, Africa, the South Pacific, Central America, Eastern Europe and in underserved areas of the United States. Programs provide medical assistance, reduce infant mortality, combat malnutrition, protect people from disease, and help those served to build self-reliant
health care systems.
PCI/OPTIONS, formerly Amdoc/Option, was initiated by the late William Van Valin, MD, who distinguished himself in humanitarian service with Dr. Albert Schweitzer in Africa.
A recent newsletter listed 430 open positions in scores of countries, in all continents, and for nearly all medical and dental generalists, specialists, and auxiliaries.
